Sunny days of summer are here in Cali!  I’m not a Cali girl by birth so I’m either hidden under a shade tree, umbrella or a big hat and the sunblock can’t get high enough for me but that doesn’t mean I don’t like summer and sunshine. This card is ALL about sunshine and I luv this big pineapple stamp.

Bring on the Sunshine

Bring on the Sunshine..I know Pineapples don’t grow in Arizona but the colors matched

I started by choosing a bright background and Cucumber Crush was my choice.  The next layer is from the beautiful Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack, finally a Whisper White layer to stamp on.

I stamped Hello in Cucumber Crush and honestly, I have so many Hello stamps that I’m not sure which set this one came from so rather than fib…use whatever Hello that you have 🙂 The SUN letters are from the Layered Letters Alphabet, that’s stamped in Daffodil Delight. Next is the Pineapple–I stamped the top in Cucumber Crush and the bottom in Daffodil Delight. What’s this you say? It doesn’t look like Daffodil Delight, well, I added a little here and there from a dauber filled with Delightful Dijon to add some shadows.  Wait wait….I’m not finished yet.  Have a close look at the leaves. I daubed the edges with a dauber and Garden Green but that’s not all.  When it was dry, I put the leaves in the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and went over only that area with a Bone Folder to give it a little texture. Isn’t that a fabulous look?!

Next I used the Embossing Buddy on the Pineapple,  I stamped SHINE from Sunburst Saying in Versamark, quickly sprinkled Copper Embossing Powder over it. I used my Heat Tool to Emboss. Before I attached this piece to the card, I used my Paper Piercing Tool to make two holes at the base of the leaves, then I threaded the Linen thread through a couple of times and tied a bow. Adhere the layers together and then to the card.

On the inside, I added the leftover DSP at the bottom and a sentiment stamped in Daffodil Delight.
