It’s Saturday March 26 and only FIVE…count them 5 days left to put in a $50 order from my store click here to SHOP and get your favorite SALE-A-BRATION items FREE. You’ll be helping me reach my goals for the month!
Here’a a few last minute ideas to get you going. I CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edit) these gorgeous cards. I watched Patty Bennett and Sara Douglass in a video to celebrate Patty’s Million Dollar Achievement (you can view it on Patty’s website). The concept artists at Stampin’ UP! came up with the cards and used the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, Botanical Garden’s Cardstock, Botanical Blooms Stamps and Botanical Builder Framelits Dies plus a few small flower punches. I really liked the design of the cards, they were simple but striking so I decided to make my own version.
I used the Sale-A-Bration Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper (12 sheets of 12 x 12″), Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack (24 sheets of 6 x 6″) and Cardstock from the 2014-16 In Color Collection: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon plus Mossy Meadow. I love those colors so be sure to order your Stampin’ Inks, Ink Refills and Cardstock soon before they disappear!
Here’s my group photo. Aren’t those colors gorgeous? Look how the Designer Series Paper (DSP) shows off those deep, rich colors. I did CASE the full front cut of DSP on some of the cards but on a few I layered it so you could see the base card. I love it both ways! It was suggested to cut the vellum at 3″ widths to utilize the most paper from the stack. I trimmed mine to about 4.5″ x 3″. When I cut the DSP for the cards, I cut 3/4″ x 3″ strips from the scraps then I mixed and matched on the various DSP patterns. I didn’t include an interior card in the photos…I was in a hurry today. I’ll make from Whisper White Cardstock and stamp different sentiments on them and include a few flower stamps from the Botanicals For You Stamp set which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration.
Like Patty, I used the Botanicals For You (FREE with $50 order) Just For You sentiment and White Stazon Ink. Ink the stamp well, stamp the Just for You sentiment on the vellum and set aside to dry. Adhere the DSP to your choice of Cardstock (11″ x 8-1/4″ scored at 4-1/4″ folded and scored). Adhere the DSP scrap to the Vellum. Then have some fun with ribbon, Thick or Thin Baker’s Twine and I added a few of the 2015-17 In Color Blossom Accents. When you have your Twine on, adhere the entire piece to the card. There’s a little envelope box in the photo…instructions to follow.
The card box is a 9″ by 9″ piece of the beautiful Shine on specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog. Use the Envelope Punch Board, line up the edge at 3-1/2″, score and punch. Line up at 4-1/2″, score and punch. Repeat. When you get to the sides, line up the score lines, punch and score. Use the reverse punch for the top and bottom flaps. I punched a hole in the top box flap so that I could put a piece of 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon in Blackberry Bliss through and tie it in a bow. You can fit cards and envelopes in the box.
This is a great gift! Please pick me as your demonstrator and place an order with me. Just click here to SHOP in my online store. Feel free to email me any questions. If you place your order before by March 31st I will include a FREE tutorial for these projects.
Here’s my CASE of Patty’s card box but with a twist of my own. I used the Sale-A-Bration DSP with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.
