I’m making a Blog post from my iPhone X because my MacBook Pro is with the Apple Guru getting repaired. Agggggg….

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy 2018 to everyone! At my house our tree is still up, yep. We were sick with the flu through Christmas so things were quiet but it’s coming down tomorrow! The 16 foot real tree is gone or we’d have a huge pile of needles in the foyer.  I am waiting on the teens to get the boxes out of the attic so I can pack up but they are too busy!

In classes we have been working on the 2018 calendars and those will be posted in their entirety soon. Today, it’s about the rainbows. First up with the rainbow is the April calendar page.

April showers…bring May flowers.

This calendar is from papersource.com and the quality of the cardstock is fabulous but I still cut a watercolor piece to work on. I taped it on a board, spritzed with water and stamped the rainbow. If the colors didn’t move as much as I wanted I spritzed again. I used the swoosh from the Painter’s Palette Stamp Set for the rainbow. I punched the clouds out of Shimmery White Cardstock with the Tree Builder Punch (versatile or what?!). They were colored with the Pool Party Blends. I stamped the sentiment from A Good Day Stamp Set – 2018 Occasions Catalog pg 27 and punched it out with the new Scallop Circle Punch!

Unicorns and Rainbows

I followed the same format as the April Calendar page but added the unicorn stamp and die cut from the new set Magical Day Stamp Set (page 37). The unicorn is colored with the Smoky Slate Blends, the rainbow tail and mane were colored with the matching Stampin’ Right Markers. I used a Pacific Point mat on a thick Whisper White Card and adhered it with Fast Fuse. Use Wink of Stella over the rainbow. You’ve gotta have sparkle!  Speaking of sparkle…

Ready for my closeup

See the Glitter Epoxy Shapes that look like raindrops? They are new!!! (Page 33.) They come in glitter and clear in the same package. Look closely in the photo above and see that the sun is raised. I did this with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. I love what you can do with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, you use it over your stamped images to give a raised appearance besides using it to glue fine pieces. I love the look and I put some on the unicorn horn, eye and backside.

A Birthday Rainbow

I wanted to make a birthday card so I stamped the rainbow again. I wanted to make this a simple card so I stamped the sentiment Make A Wish from Happy Birthday Gorgeous directly on the watercolor paper. I used my Misti to make sure I could restamp in the exact same spot. Soon I’ll have the Stampin’ Up Stamperatus to do the same thing. Lucky me…I’ll have both!

For the birthday card, I used the thin silver Washi tape from the Suite Soirée Embelishment Kit (page 13). I stamped the stars from the Magical Day Stamp Set in VersaMark and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I wanted more bling so I added rhinestones.

I hope that you enjoyed a walk through my rainbows today. If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, I would love to be yours.
