You’d think this is my only stamp set but if you saw my stash you’d know it isn’t BUT…I just love this happy stamp set called “Snow Place and matching framelit set called “Snow Friends” so here’s another card entry for the Global Design Project GDP101. I know it’s a cutie pie style of card but this stamp set is just screaming CUTE!
How did I go about making this easy and fun card? Well…I cut a base of Real Red card stock at 8.5 x 5.5, scored it at 4.25 and used a bone folder to get that perfect crease. NO…your fingers won’t create that perfect crease so you need the inexpensive little bone folder (wink, wink). Then I cut a mat of 5.25 x 4 and embossed this with Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder–love that folder! The four window pane squares are cut at 1.5 x 1.5 in Cucumber Crush from the new IN COLOR COLLECTION…yummy. The next layer is Whisper White card stock cut at 1.25 x 1.25. Now on to the Santa hat. I stamped three hats on the Whisper White card stock. I then used my new fav product the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to trace over the lines and sprinkled the hat Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. I stamped the Snow “person” using the NEW Archival Stampin’ Pad in Basic Black. Trace the lines of this little snow person with the Fine-tipped Glue Pen and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter over it. Cut the last Santa hat with the framelits, trace the lines with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and add Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter and whew…the hard part is over. Remember to color the carrot orange with a Tangelo Twist marker.
I stamped the sentiment with Cucumber Crush after I embossed the card front but it also can be done prior to embossing.
Assembly is easy. Layers are popped up with Dimensionals i.e. the Cucumber Crush and Whisper White squares. The peeking Snow person’s hat is attached with a few Glue Dots and the Piece De Resistance is the Real Red Pom Pom trim on the Santa Hats which are secured with Glue Dots. Cutie it is!
