I really like more than three people but somedays it feels like there are only three! I made this card for a challenge over at Split Coast Stampers. To say that the mice are cute is an understatement and they’re from a Mama Elephant stamp set called Zodiac Mouse. It it were truly from the Chinese Zodiac, it would be a rat but who would purchase a stamp set called Zodiac Rat so it’s called a Mouse.
I used the dies from the Pink Fresh Essential Slim Cuts to cut the cardstock from Concord & 9th–Marmalade, Sprout and Black. The patterned paper is from a taylored expressions set called Playful Patterns–Haunted and I cut this with the Lawn Fawn Foursquare Backdrop. I didn’t use the window cut but used the three rectangles…have one to spare!
I stamped the mice using the Hybrid Black Ink from Picket Fence Studios and colored them using Copics: Y17,18,19 and 58; YR 04,07,14,16,18 and the noses in RV09 but I decided they looked too flat and added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry after I assembled the card. Since the mice are so cute, I used my white gel pen to highlight a few spots and added dots by the whiskers with a micro black marker. The cheese pieces were colored with the same oranges as the mice. I added Ranger Glossy Accents to the cheese holes.
The sentiment was perfect for my trio of mice and it’s called “It’s Peoply Out There” from Picket Fence Studios.
