Since I’ve been away from my studio for a few weeks, getting back into a creative mind set was difficult and I wanted a little PUSH in the right direction and these two challenges were just the recipe I needed.
Pals Paper Arts #PPA318 is a sketch challenge from Beth Beard, click here for a look at the original and the other cards by talented designers. I pushed my ideas out of the box and used Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies to create the vertical line. I backed the leaves with a piece of Burlap Ribbon. I thought the top was a little too plain so I added a few layered pinecones from the same thinlet set. Of course I highlighted them with Wink of Stella…my go to accessory! The base of the card is Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz Layer and a Whisper White top layer. The Whisper White layer is embossed with Petal Burst Embossing Folder to give the card texture. The square Regals Designer Series Paper is cut 3″ x 3″ and the sentiment coordinates with the DSP. I love the way this card came out!!!
Paper Players #PP312 is a Color Challenge by LeAnne with Cajun Craze, Crush Curry and Pear Pizzazz. Click here to head to Paper Players for a look at the original and see all of the wonderful cards by other designers. These colors are not my “go to colors” because I am such a spring and summer kind of gal but I’m so pleased with the coordination of these colors and they just screamed thankful and blessed.
I hope that you love my card, leave a comment for me and if you need a Demonstrator…well, I would love to be yours!

Love the way you started your card with the Petal Burst EF and the cute DSP. The pine cone spray made the perfect banner! Thanks so much for joining us at the PPA this week.
Very pretty and perfect for Fall! Thanks for playing along with us this week at PPA.
What a lovely combination of die cuts to anchor that piece of DSP – your sentiment stands out beautifully. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
