This is an easy and adorable project to make darling tiny treat boxes for Halloween. It’s a Sneak Peek of what’s going to be available to order on September 1st…bet you can’t wait to get that list going! Don’t have a catalog or need a Demonstrator? I’m your girl! Here are the colors I used on this project…
Preparation:
- Cut 12″ x 12″ Black Cardstock 6″ x 4″. There will be six rectangles from each sheet of 12″ x 12″.
- Score lengthwise on the 6″ side at 1/2″, 2-1/4″, 3-1/4″ and 5″
- Turn 90 degrees and on the 4″ side, score at 1″
- On the 6″ side, snip along the score line to the 1″ score line. Slightly angle the two longer pieces so that they are a little narrower toward the 1″ line. This will be the bottom of the treat bag.
- Snip off the 1/2″ corner piece below the 1″ score line. Snip the small flaps in a wee bit so it will nestle in better when adhering the bottom.
- Pick a stamp from Ghoulish Grunge for the background, ink with Whisper White Pigment Ink and stamp on the front and back of the treat bag. Set aside to dry.
- On a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp a character from the Cookie-Cutter Halloween Stamp Set. Stamp this toward the bottom of the scrap to leave room to stamp the Bat from the same set in Basic Black Archieval Ink at the top.
- Punch out the character with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
- Stamp the pumpkin face from Spooky Fun in Basic Black Archieval Ink on Pumpkin Pie Cardstock.
- Punch out using the 3/4″ circle punch.
- Cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper to 1/2″ width.
- Punch out a bow tie with the Cookie-Cutter Punch out of Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper.
- Snip 1″ of the Kraft Rope Ribbon and separate this into 3 pieces.
- Staple one piece at the top of the pumpkin.
- Stamp here’s a bootiful treat from Spooky Fun Stamp Set on a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie.
- Die cut this with Lots of Labels and the Big Shot.
Assembly of the bag:
- Attach Tear and Tape to the top side of the narrow piece of the tiny treat bag close to the fold lines. Score the tape with your nail or a bone folder to adhere properly. Attach Tear and Tape to both of the small flaps.
- Flip the bag over and attach Tear and Tape to one long piece on the bottom.
- Fold the bag on the score lines, pull off the top layer of the side piece of Tear and Tape, allign the tops, adhere together.
- Fold the small sides of the bottom in first, then one long side, pull off the top layer of the Tear and Tape and adhere.
- A piece of Halloween Night Deisgner Washi Tape can be adhered to the front of the bag.
Accessory Assembly:
- Adhere the character to the bag with Dimensionals.
- Adhere the pumpkin to the bag with a Dimensional.
- Adhere the bow tie to the character with a Glue Dot.
- Adhere the label to a clothespin with a Glue Dot.
- Adhere the bat to the label with a Glue Dot.
- Use Wink of Stella over the bat and pumpkin.
- Fold the Tiny Treet Bag top together and close with the clothespin.
