PPA306

This is the Pals Paper Arts Challenge Sketch PPA306 by Mary Fish  Love her clean card styling and I was inspired to make a clean card. Of course, it’s out of my comfort zone to make a simple card but I channeled another version of myself. Hope you enjoy this card, it’s actually simple to do, just grab your Designer Series Paper Stack, Big Shot, Thinlits and a simple sentiment.

I decided to CASE the three sections or elements in Mary’s card. Each one of her blocks contains two layers.  The first element in my card is love, underneath the love is a heart which symbolizes love. My second element is hope, next to that is a symbol of what could be construed as a butterfly or an intertwined bow. I was thinking about breast cancer and friends who are batteling or have battled with the disease.  It could also mean hope to get through a tough day or any situation that is causing stress in your life. My last element is sunshine. I was thinking about what it feels like to have sunshine touch my face after a long day, the warmth and softness as it touches my skin. How wonderful and alive I feel when I close my eyes and breathe in the sunshine.  My card is a symbol of love, hope and sunshine for my friends to get well and breathe in the warmth of another day.

The card was simply made. The base is Whisper White Thick Cardstock. The next layer is from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to cut three each of the love, hope and sunshine. I cut two layers each of Whisper White Cardstock, then one layer of Soft Sky for love, Blushing Bride for Hope and Daffodil Delight for sunshine. I adhered two layers of Whisper White Cardstock in each sentiment together with Multipurpose Glue, then added the top layer just a little off center. After running the thinlits of the heart and butterfly/flower through the Big Shot, I used Wink of Stella to change their color slightly. The Daffodil Delight sun is a thinlet from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. I added a Rhinestone to dot the i.

I adhered all elements to the Designer Series Paper with Multipurpose Glue and a toothpick to spread it thin. I stamped a simple Get Well Sentiment from Designer Tim of Cards photopolymer set. (Fabulous set, so many sentiments!) I adhered this to the card with Dimensionals.
