Who doesn’t love ICE CREAM! Get these items like quick because they will be gone by May 31st. We’re making these cards this week in a class and I love the softness of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. You can also purchase the paper separately in packs of 20 for $7.00. Get it now because it goes up in price on May 31st.
Here’s a close up of the sentiment. Cut a piece of Mint Macaron 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″, use the Project Life Corner Rounder. The Happiest of Birthdays Stamp comes from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set. Ink with VersaMark and quickly cover with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and use the Heat Tool to set. I love embossing, totally glams up the card! Run this piece through your Big Shot with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Perfect! Now I stamped and heat embossed after I ran it through the Big Shot…the Textured Impressions was an afterthought but I really like it. Knot a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon, run snail on the back and secure the ends. How is mine so perfect? I tied it around a medium punch and snipped it on the side I wanted the knot to be on the front. Easy peasy! Set this aside.
Cut Mint Macaron Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″ and cease the Bone Folder. You can use Mint Macaron or Pool Party, both are a match. I love the crisp clean line. Cut a piece of DSP 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. This gives just a small border on the card. Use the Project Life Corner Rounder on the edges of the DSP.
Now to the adorable Ice Cream Cone. Get a scrap piece of Corrugated Paper (retiring ;( and cut triangles for the cones. You will need four for both cards. Place two Dimensionals on the back of the cone and attach to the rectangle (see photo). Punch a 1″ Circle, attach the Honeycomb Embellishment to both sides. Attach this to the cone with a Dimensional at the top and glue dots at the bottom. WHY you ask? It’s unbalanced so this makes it even when attaching to the card.
Attach to the card with Snail or Fast Fuse. Attach two Rhinestones in the corner as in the photo.
A variation of the above card uses three Ice Cream cones! Love it!!! Using Blushing Bride Cardstock, cut the base size the same as the first card, same DSP size but don’t round the corners. Cut a scrap piece of Blushing Bride 3-1/2″ x 2″ and a piece of DSP 3-1/4″ x 1-1/4″. Stamp birthday wishes in VersaMark and sprinkle with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set with the Heat Tool. Attach this piece to the bottom of the Blushing Bride Cardstock with Snail and add a piece of washi tape from the It’s My Party Designer Washi Tape. Add a couple of Metal Rimmed Pearls to the corners as in photo.
